Auditions
The Aurora Singers are currently holding open auditions for Tenors and Basses.
General
The repertoire is a mixture of show tunes, pop music, and musical theater. Shows contain both songs where all members sing as well as optional solos and smaller groups such as duets, trios, and quartets. There is also light choreography at times in the show. The Aurora Singers have a season membership fee and costume fee. Shows are in October, December, March, and May. During the season there is weekly practice every Tuesday evening. If you’ve never seen our show, come see one and see what we do.
The Audition
Auditions are held by the Director and may include all or some of the following: 1) singing a solo of the auditionee’s choice, 2) demonstrating vocal range, 3) tone quality, 4) tonal/rhythmic memory, and 5) sight reading ability.
